Bulgarian Bansko Ski Resort is ready for 2007/2008 Winter season
2007-12-17 11:08:22Bansko Ski resort has already opened its ski runs and lifts for the winter entertainments’ lovers.The favorable weather conditions and the sufficient snow coverage made it possible for the Bulgarian famous ski destination to welcome guests from the 1st of December, which is 2 weeks ahead of the official opening of the resort.
Some completely new ski facilities, which will improve the possibilities for skiing and snowboarding, as well as the total security in the ski areas offers Bansko for the new season.
Two more exiting tracks, the Chalin Valog 1 and 2, located in a convenient proximity just above the town of Bansko, will tempt the skiers and snowboarders in the new season. The medium-long red tracks are operated by a Doppelmayer high-capacity 4-seater lift.
A brand new tow-dragger in the lower section will suit the Beginners best. Wit this brand new addition, the total length of the Bansko pistes reaches up to 70 kilometers.
The total number of 160 machines for artificial snow covers the whole ski area, from the first lift station of the cabin lift to the highest pear at 2500m.
The official opening ceremony will be on the 15th of December. The event will be attended by many famous ski legends, who will cut the New season’s sting.
